My disposal just hums — what's wrong?
A hum with no spin usually means the disposal is jammed or the motor is stuck. Don't keep flipping the switch — it can burn out the motor. Watson's can free the jam or replace the unit safely. Call (212) 368-3434.
Can a leaking garbage disposal be repaired?
Sometimes. Leaks at the sink flange or hose connections can often be resealed, but a leak from the bottom of the unit usually means the housing has failed and the disposal should be replaced. We'll tell you honestly which one it is.
